Slovenia's Environmental Protection 10-15 Years Behind the EU

Radenci, 5 November - According to the national environmental strategy Slovenia will have to invest SIT 263 billion (DM 2.63 billion) in environmental protection over the coming years in order to satisfy EU requirements. This was the principal conclusion of a two day environmental management conference which ended on Friday. Another conclusion was that the Slovene environmental protection lags behind that of the EU by 10 to 15 years.
