Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 30 October through 5 November
Ljubljana, 6 November - Slovenia took over the presidency over the UN Security Council for the second time in November and concluded after a year and a half the screening of its legislation with Brussels. The country hosted Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern and an international conference on the role of parliaments in the process of EU enlargement. Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek and Foreign Minister Boris Frlec left for the meeting of the Central European Initiative (CEI) to Prague, while National Assembly Speaker Janez Podobnik wound up his visit to the United States and Canada.
