Lombardero: Slovenia is Making a Good Progress, but There Is Still Much to Be Done

The European Commission's negotiator for Slovenia Jaime Garcia Lombardero on Wednesday hailed Slovenia's progress in the efforts to join the EU and encouraged the country to continue on the path taken. He stressed, however, that Slovenia should make improvements mainly in three areas: liberalisation of its economy - especially financial institutions, control over state subsidies and modernisation of public administration.
