Kucan: Slovenia Welcomes Spain's Experience

Ljubljana, 11 November - President of Slovenia Milan Kucan received on Thursday the chief-of-staff of the Spanish armed forces, Gen. Santiago Valderas Canestra, who is paying an official visit to Slovenia together with his aides. The officials discussed the burning security issues in the Balkans, in whose stabilisation Spain has been active from the beginning. The NATO expansion towards southeastern Europe was also on the agenda, just as were the current issues regarding the development of the Slovene and Spanish armed forces.
