New Round of Accession Talks Beings in EU Capital

Brussels, 12 November - EU/SLOVENIA/EXPANSION
A Slovene delegation led by the head negotiator with the EU, Janez Potocnik, is attending a fresh round of full-membership talks in Brussels on Friday. Three chapters of legislation will be discussed anew, namely the freedom to provide services, taxation and energy. In addition, the negotiators will go back to discussing four chapters that have already been touched upon: company law, competition, the audiovisual policy and foreign relations. It is expected that the EU will not close today any of the named chapters with Slovenia.
