Istanbul, 19 November - OSCE/SUMMIT/CHARTER
The leaders of 54 member nations of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Including Slovenia's Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek have signed the Charter for European Security on Friday in Istanbul. The Charter is a basic document upon which the OSCE will base its future activity. It confirms its role as the only pan-European security organisation in charge of securing peace and stability in Europe and introduces some new mechanisms for better responding to crises.
