Kirghizia Film The Adopted Son - Winner of the Ljubljana Film Festival

The winner of the 10th Ljubljana International Film Festival (LIFF) is The Adopted Son, the debut film by Akhtan Abdikhalikov made in the Kirghiz-French co-production. The film, which was made last year and is the first Kirghiz independent film ever, has thus won the 10,000-German mark Kingfisher Award which was presented for the forth time this year by the main sponsor of the festival, Slovenia's main telecommunications operator Mobitel.
