Agriculture Experts Meet Up in Bled

Bled, 22 November - Over 300 experts gathered Monday at the lake-side resort of Bled, northwestern Slovenia, to discuss the agriculture and forestry chamber of Slovenia which was set up last spring, when the parliament passed the relevant law. Farmers and owners of pieces of land and forests, agricultural companies and co-operatives have thus obtained an association which will promote their interests in relation to local communities, the state and, later, the EU. The conference called for a prompt election to the council of the chamber.
