New Team of Prosecutors Fighting Organised Crime Starts Working

A newly appointed team of prosecutors officially started to work on Wednesday after the office started being handed over to them. The handover is to be completed on Friday. The head of the group, who is appointed by the government on the basis of changes to the act on public prosecutors that came into force last July, is still unknown. Since the government has not yet decided between two candidates, i.e. Jozica Boljte Brus of the Ljubljana district prosecutor's office and Anton Ribnikar, who has been acting as leader so far, State Prosecutor General Zdenka Cerar ordered that Ribnikar is to be acting head of the group.
