Slovene Railways and German Bank Sign DM 93-Million Contract
Ljubljana, 2 December - SLOVENE/RAILWAYS/LOAN
The Slovene Railways and the Frankfurt-based bank Kreditanstalt fuer Wiederaufbau have signed a DM 93-million contract to modernise Slovenia's railway infrastructure. The contract was signed on Thursday in Ljubljana by Director of the Slovene Railways Igor Zajec and Michael Jung, Vice-Chairman of the German bank, as well as Sylke Steckel, who supervises bank's projects. With a three-year suspension in repayment, the loan will be repaid by the Slovene railway company within ten years.
