Jelincic: Europe Dislikes Servitude, Which Puts Slovenia's Entry into the EU to 2005
Ljubljana, 7 December - Despite being the best qualified EU candidate, Slovenia has been pushed to the very edge of enlargement, Zmago Jelincic, the leader of the opposition Slovene National Party (SNS), told the press on Tuesday. In Jelincic's opinion, one can understand from a special report by the WEU political board that Slovenia will join the EU in 2005, or perhaps only in 2008 or 2009.
