Drnovsek Discussess Topical Issues of Interior and Foreign Affairs

Slovenia is very likely to hold the next parliamentary elections between 1 October and 12 November 2000, Slovene Prime Minister Drnovsek said in an interview for the national television on Tuesday evening. There are enough reasons for early elections, Drnovsek said, yet the only way for that to happen would be a broad consensus of all parties on the electoral system, which requires some time, so that elections in May or June are not probable.
