Suklje and Podvrsic Visit FBI Headquarters
Washington, 9 December - U.S./SLOVENIA/POLICE
A Slovene Interior Ministry delegation led by Minister Borut Suklje was received by FBI Director Louis Freeh during their visit to the FBI Headquarters on Wednesday afternoon. Talks focussed on the co-operation between the Slovene and U.S. police forces, whereupon the Slovene side suggested that the FBI should appoint its representative to Ljubljana with a view of setting up a permanent FBI office in the Slovene capital. Another topic on the daily agenda was the training of over 200 Kosovo policemen in Slovenia with the help of FBI as part of SE Europe Stability Pact projects. This idea was given by Freeh and Director of the Slovene Police Andrej Podvrsic.
