The Slovene public's economic views have changed significantly over the past seven years. In 1992, Slovenes expressed a materialistic point of view, stressing careful economic rationing as a foremost factor. Since 1995 the trend has changed and a growing number of Slovenes now prioritise their standard of living over economic rationing. Their views express belief that the problems of the human race can only be solved with economic growth, science and technology.
