In the opinion of Brussels Slovenia should have closed duty-free shops at road border crossings on 1 July 1998, so Brussels is repeating its claim over and over again. Some in the government circles smile, thinking they have bought their time and "outwitted Brussels" as they have guaranteed another two years of carefree life to the shops, the Maribor daily writes in Tuesday's issue.
