Italy's Impresa Grassetto to Construct Trojane Tunnel

The Milan-based construction company Impresa Grassetto with its Slovene subcontractor Kraski zidar has been chosen to build the 2.9-km motorway Trojane Tunnel, one of the most difficult sections to be built as part of Slovenia's motorways programme. The motorways company in Slovenia, DARS, reported on Tuesday that the agreement had been reached. The Italian company will construct the tunnel for SIT 13.9 billion (DM 139 million). The tender was also approved by the European Investment Bank, whose loan will help fund the project.
