'Slovene Village' Opens in Kosovo
Ljubljana, 15 December - 'The Slovene Village' which consists of homes for 35 families or 220 Kosovo homeless people and which was constructed at the Kosovo village of Ura Terezive near Djakovica opened on Wednesday. The homes were built with the funds raised in a charity campaign launched in the summer by the Slovene mass media and charity organisations. The campaign entitled 'A Hand for Refugees - the Slovene Village" in which around DM 700,000 was raised was initiated by Slovene national television. The village was today handed over to the UNHCR, which will be in charge of it.
