Ljubljana, 17 December - SLOVENIA/VETS/INSPECTION
The mission of the European Commission's Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) which arrived in Slovenia on Monday to review the veterinary inspection system in Slovenia completed its work on Friday. The three-member team of experts will now prepare its draft report and offer the Slovene Veterinary Administration (VURS) the possibility to comment. The report will be presented to the standing veterinary committee in January. The Committee will then decide whether or not to enforce a ban on imports of Slovene fresh meat, meat products and game meat to the EU as of 1 February 2000.
