Clinton's Visit Marks This Year in Slovenia

June's visit of the U.S. President, Bill Clinton to Slovenia has been rated by the majority of those polled in a Nedelo opinion poll as the event of the year; 22 percent thought this has been the most important event in the year drawing to an end. Clinton also placed first in the category of the most important foreign official - nearly 48 percent believed he has had the greatest impact on the developments worldwide in 1999. Slovenia's personality of the year is President Milan Kucan, who was favoured by 22 percent of those polled in Sunday's opinion poll.
