Slovenia does not lag behind the EU member states in the protection of copyrights, said Secretary General of the International Confederation of Copyright Associations (CISAC) Eric Baptiste and legal adviser for broadcasting Debora Abramowicz, at a news conference on Wednesday. Winding up their four-day visit to Slovenia, the officials established that the Slovene legislation is comparable to and harmonised with the acquis. However, they pointed to problems in implementing the regulations which are linked to sluggish court procedures.
