Minister Frlec's First Official Visit to Switzerland
Bern, 22 December - Slovene Foreign Minister Boris Frlec on Wednesday paid his first official visit to Switzerland at the invitation of his Swiss counterpart Joseph Deiss. Apart from his host, Frlec also met with Ruth Dreifuss, president of the Swiss confederation and interior minister, and Walter Frey, chairman of the Swiss parliamentary committee for foreign affairs. The meetings centred on bilateral issues, Slovenia's experience as a non-permanent member in the UN Security Council, Slovenia's accession to the EU, the situation in SE Europe, the question of human safety, and the OSCE and NATO, the Slovene delegation told STA.
