After wearisome hesitation and delays the Council of the Bank of Slovenia finally decided who should get the bank Dolenjska banka. The result can be seen only as the victory of the largest Slovene bank and the defeat of the central bank governor's idea to balance the Slovene banking scene with "pillars", the Slovene daily Delo in Thursday issues comments on the central bank's consent given to the largest Slovene commercial bank, Nova Ljubljanska banka (NLB), to acquire a qualified share exceeding 50 percent in Novo-mesto based Dolenjska banka.
