Slovene Railways Fail to Meet 1999 Business Plan
Ljubljana, 4 January - SLOVENE/RAILWAYS/RESULTS
The Slovene Railways transported 10,000 tonnes of goods more in October 1999 than in the same period 1998, when they transported 1.315 million tonnes of goods. The volume of services measured in net tonne kilometres was somewhat lower, as the average transportation track was shorter than in October 1998. The Slovene Railways are likely not to meet the 1999 plan, as they should compensate some 660,000 net tonne kilometres in November and December to do so.
