The Bank of Slovenia Operates without Interruptions

The Bank of Slovenia has been operating smoothly ever since Monday. The Slovene central bank reported on Tuesday, it prepared well for the transition to the year 2000, as its project group started work as early as March 1997. The group examined, upgraded and tested the equipment as well as required certificates from suppliers on assurances that the equipment would work smoothly after 1 January 2000. A review of the central bank preparation for the year 2000 was carried out by an authorised foreign revision firm.
