Decline in Package Deals on the LSE

Trading on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LSE) in the first week of 2000 saw a drop in package deals from the last week of 1999. While package deals allowed for up to 80 percent of the overall turnover in December, their share did not exceed 66 percent last week. The daily share of package deals in overall trading averaged less than 40 percent. Last week's turnover on the LSE totalled SIT 4.1 billion (EURO 21 million) and was much lower than that recorded the week before. The SBI share index gained 1.35 percent to 1830.69 point and the authorised investment companies' index PIX 0.30 percent to 1487.89 point.
