Consortium of Slovene Municipalities for the PHARE Biomass Heating Project

Mayors of four Slovene municipalities (Gornji Grad, Nazarje, Preddvor, and Solcava) signed a contract establishing a common consortium on Wednesday in a bid to take part in the PHARE project introducing the biomass heating systems. Financially and substantially, this is currently the most extensive PHARE project and the first cross-border project between Slovenia and Austria. Its cost totals nine million euros, 1.5 of which comes from the PHARE 1997 public competition.
