Great Slovene Linguist's Library on Display in Ljubljana

Ljubljana, 13 January - EXHIBITION/KOPITAR
An exhibition on prominent Slovene linguist Jernej Kopitar (1780-1844) will open on Thursday in Ljubljana featuring his work and life from the aspect of his rich private library, one of the most significant sources of books the Slovene National and University Library (NUK) has. Kopitar's library belongs to the most important Slovene private libraries from the first half of the 19th century. The exhibition aims at presenting the books as a Slovene-Austrian contribution to European culture.
