Banks SKB and NKBM Sign a Deal to Merge
Maribor, 14 January - BANKS/MERGERS
The managements of SKB banka and Nova kreditna banka Maribor (NKBM) signed a memorandum of understanding on a merger in Maribor on Friday. The merger between the second and third largest Slovene banks, each controlling about twelve percent of the market, is expected to be finished this May or June when it is endorsed by their General Assembly Meetings. Both banks will fuse, the result of which will be a new universal bank as their legal successor.
