Aamodt Wins, Grubelnik's Success of the Career

Norwegian veteran Kjetil Andre Aamodt is the winner of this year's fifth World Cup slalom event held in Wengen, Switzerland. His excellent second run gave him the victory, after he finished the first run fourth. He was 0.52 seconds ahead of his team-mate Ole Christian Furuseth. The last podium place was occupied by Slovenia's Drago Grubelnik who was 0.61 seconds behind the leader and thus achieved the greatest success of his career.
