Slovene and Franch Pharmaceutical Companies Consolidate Presence in Europe

A leading Slovene pharmaceuticals company and the second largest French pharmaceuticals company have established a joint stock company, Sanfi-Synthelabo-Lek, whose nominal capital is DM 50,000. The joint venture of Ljubljana-based Lek and France's Sanofi-Sythelabo will import, produce, market, register, distribute and sell the leading Sanofi-Sythelabo products in the Slovene and Croatian markets. Besides, the new company whose central offices will be in Ljubljana might spread its activity to Bosnia, Macedonia and Albania.
