Delo: The Van of Good Will

Ljubljana, 24 January - The source of strain and problems in relations between Slovenia and Croatia are unsolved issues that arise from the time of former Yugoslavia. It has been heard, on many occasions, that the answer to these problems lies in a tiny bit of political good will. However, this will has not appeared, because a compromise is not politically beneficial for either side. Thus the matters have entered a never-ending circle. Yet new times dawn upon us, the Croatian political scene has been redecorated, from this time the word of Ivica Racan, incoming Croatian Prime Minister, will be of great weight. It was interesting to see Racan visit Slovenia this weekend, as it has always been Racan who has seen optimism in bilateral issues, writes Delo in Monday's issue.
