European Transport Ministers on Civil Aviation

Brussels, 28 January - ECAC/TRAFFIC/BERGAUER
Transport Minister Anton Bergauer attended, on Friday, the meeting of transport ministers from countries of the European Civial Aviation Conference. The ministers attending the conference agreed that co-operation between flight control centres should be strengthened so as to assist reduction of flight delays and coping with the ever increasing traffic. As a long-term goal the ministers agreed that the number of control centres in European air-space should be reduced from the current 68 to a combined five.
