Violante Pledges His Support for Adoption of Protective Legislation
Ljubljana, 31 January - Speaker of the Italian House of Representatives Luciano Violante has pledged his personal support for normal continuation of the parliamentary procedure and adoption of the bill on global protection of the Slovene ethnic minority in Italy. Violante has responded to a letter in which State Secretary to the Slovene Foreign Ministry Franco Juri expressed Slovenia's expectation that the bill would finally be passed without any additional complications, the Slovene Ministry for Foreign Affairs reported on Monday.
