Economics Ministry and PHARE Support the Harmonisation of Technical Regulations

Ljubljana, 1 February - EU/REGULATIONS/HARMONISATION/COMPANIES
In accordance with the Accession Agreement, Slovenia needs to harmonise its TSlegislation with the acquis communnautaire by the year 2002. However, Slovene companies are not fully aware yet that the harmonisation also includes technical regulations in companies. The Economics Ministry and the EU PHARE programme launched a ten-month project last October 1999 to raise awareness about the importance of the implementation of European technical regulations. The project offers assistance with the implementation and harmonisation of European technical regulations on strategic and operative levels.
