Kucan Receives State Department Official

Slovene President Milan Kucan and U.S. Under Secretary for Political Affairs, Thomas R. Pickering discussed on Tuesday the successful development of the relations between the U.S. and Slovenia, which was also confirmed by last June's visit of U.S. President Bill Clinton to Slovenia. Pickering, who is completing a two-day visit to Slovenia today, was highly interested in learning Kucan's view on how the situation in the Balkans, and particularly in Serbia might unfold, Kucan's office reported.
