GZS: Visas With Romania Cause Problems for Business

Numerous Slovene trucks are unable to cross the Romanian border and many truck drivers are unable to set off from Slovenia to Romania as visas are now required for Slovene citizens entering Romania, the Slovene Chamber of Commerce (GZS) reported. These problems have emerged after Slovenia introduced visas as of this week for Rumanian citizens as part of the harmonisation process with EU standards. Romania however responded with a reciprocal measure; Slovene citizens travelling to Romania require a visa, which can be obtained after within up to 10 days.
