Gorenje Group Estimates Its 1999 Profits at SIT 2.6 Billion

Velenje, 2 February - COMPANIES/GORENJE/RESULTS
Despite difficult business conditions, Gorenje, a white and black electrical goods producer, had a successful year in 1999. The parent company itself increased its sales revenues by 12 percent to SIT 72.6 billion (DM 726 million) and made an estimated net profit of SIT 2.2 billion (DM 22 million). Consisting of 37 companies, 24 of which are abroad, the group's sale of products and services stood at SIT 108 billion (DM 1.08 billion) last year, with its profits reaching nearly SIT 2.6 billion (DM 26 million). The group earmarked around DM 90 million for investments last year.
