EU Relieved At Announced Abolishment of Slovene Duty Free Shops

Brussels, 2 February - EU/SLOVENIA/DUTY-FREE/SHOPS
Representatives of the European Commission took part in the sitting of the joint sub-committee for customs, drug trafficking and money laundering alleviatedly accepted Slovene plans to reorganise duty-free shops on border crossings with Austria, Italy and Hungary into normal shops by 1 January 2001. This was said by State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, Milojka Kolar, in Brussels on Wednesday.
