Slovene Foreign Ministry Comments Developments in Austria

Ljubljana, 2 February - AUSTRIA/GOVERNMENT/FOREIGN/MINISTRY
The Slovene Foreign Ministry is "following the deep government crisis in Austria carefully and worriedly. Slovenia had Austria's support when it was seeking independence and desires to preserve co-operation and its support in Slovenia's bid to join the EU as well as in settling bilateral open issues," State Secretary at the Foreign Ministry Ernest Petric said in a response to the formation of a government coalition between the Austrian People's Party (OeVP) and the Freedom Party (FPOe).
