International Experts Visit Prekmurje Border Crossings

Lendava, 3 February - BORDER/ILLEGAL/IMMIGRANTS
The majority of illegal immigrants come to Slovenia via Hungary. This year alone at least 250 clandestine immigrants have been apprehended and their number is still increasing, while Slovenia's accession to the EU is imminent. These reasons have prompted an international working group to visit the north-easternmost region of Slovenia, Prekmurje, in order to set new frameworks in border protection together with Slovene experts.
