Economic Mirror: Slowed Growth in GDP in Third Quarter 1999

The growth in the gross domestic product (GDP) totalled 4.1 percent in the first nine months of 1999, National Statistics Office figures show. Fueled by demand, a relatively high growth of 6.4 percent was recorded in the second quarter of 1999 at annual level, but it slowed down in the third quarter, totalling 3.4 percent at annual level. The greatest growth, that of 15 percent was recorded in the construction industry, the latest edition of the Economic Mirror writes.
