Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 29 January to 4 February

Ljubljana, 5 February - Last week saw the appointment of Dimitrij Rupel to the post of head of the Slovene diplomacy. Just like the rest of Europe, Slovenia expressed concern over the entry of Joerg Haider's Freedom party into the new Austrian government. Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek met several foreign top officials at the World Economic Forum in Davos, including U.S. President Bill Clinton.
