Martonyi: Hungary Will Back Slovenia On Its Way To NATO

Ljubljana, 9 February - SLOVENIA/HUNGARY/MARTONYI
Slovenia and Hungary will co-operate in their bid to join the EU, and Hungary, a NATO member, will support Slovenia's entry into the alliance, the Slovene and Hungarian foreign ministers, Dimitrij Rupel and Janos Martonyi, told the press after meeting on Wednesday in the Slovene capital. Slovenia and Hungary share the stance on the situation in Austria: while they are both worried about the new Austrian government, they will judge it by its acts, the two heads of diplomacy stressed. Martonyi listed as worrying the statements made by Freedom Party officials which are not in line with European values and the party's line on EU enlargement.
