Poet Preseren Remembered in Klagenfurt and Stockholm

Klagenfurt/Stockholm, 9 February - CULTURE/DAY/CELEBRATIONS
A celebration marking the Slovene national holiday, Culture Day, and the 200th anniversary of the birth of Slovenia's greatest poet France Preseren (1800-1849) is being held in the Austrian city of Klagenfurt on Wednesday evening. Also, the Slovene Embassy in the Swedish capital hosted an evening of culture for Slovenes living in Sweden. Preseren's poems were read by high schools students accompanied by piano music.
