Vajgl: We Expect Austria To Be Ally of Slovenia in Its Entry into the EU

We expect Austria not to make Slovenia's membership of the EU conditional upon outstanding bilateral issues, said Slovene Ambassador to Austria Ivo Vajgl, adding that, as a good neighbour, Austria is expected to be Slovenia's ally in integration into the EU, which would only be logical. Vajgl spoke on the margin of the consultation of Slovene diplomats at Brdo Castle, some 30 km north of Ljubljana. "Slovenia has been reassured of this," he said.
