Lombardero: Election Year Could be Used for Acceleration of Implementation

Chief EU negotiator for Slovenia Jaime Garcia Lombardero commented on the first ever session of the EU-Slovene subcommittee for the internal market, which is taking place on Friday in Ljubljana. The two-day session was seen as the hardest and most sensitive part of the process of Slovenia's integration in to the EU by Lombardero. He pointed out that Slovenia could use the election year to accelerate implementation of passed legislation despite expectations which predict that the election year will cause a slowing down in the passing of new legislation.
