D&B: Slovenia's Risk Factor Remains Unchanged

Ljubljana, 14 February - SLOVENIA/D&B/RATING
Slovenia achieved a considerable step forward in the past few weeks concerning the introduction of much needed reforms to both investment regulations and the pension system, according to the February issue of the British magazine D&B International Risk & Payment. The monthly magazine, which publishes charts of risk factors in various states, finds Slovenia, together with Hungary, as a country with the lowest risk factor among Eastern and Central European countries. By reforming the pension system the retirement ages for both men and women have been raised, which will have a positive effect on Slovene economy. D&B also found that a new programme for stimulating foreign investments has opened the doors for prospective foreign investors. D&B further corrected the forecast for inflation in Slovenia for 2001, from 4.5 percent to 6 percent.
