Telemach Sets Bold Plans

Ljubljana, 15 February - TELECOMMUNICATIONS/TELEMACH
The communications company Telemach is planning to become the first multimedia provider in Slovenia after the liberalisation of the Slovene telecommunications market. The company is also planning to break through the Slovene borders into the neigbouring lands and the Balkans. By March they are expected to begin building a network backbone, with which they will use the existent networks of Eles, the Slovene Railways and the current cable operators. The company's management is expected to fully capitalise the company at Wednesday's assembly meeting, with which the companies share capital will increase to SIT 1 billion (euro 5.02 million). The company will also be reformed into a public limited company.
