'American Beauty' To Be Screened in Slovenia on Thursday

Ljubljana, 16 February - A couple of days after receiving eight Academy Award nominations, 'American Beauty' will be screened in Ljubljana on Thursday, its Slovene distributor Karantanija film reported on Wednesday. This Sam Mendes-directed film received the largest number of nominations this year, including a nomination for best actor and actress (Kevin Spacey and Annette Bening). The film also received the largest number of Golden Globus Awards, which are a reliable indicator of which films may win Oscars.
