Management Board Praises 1999 NEK Operations
Krško, 18 February - KRSKO/PLANT/MANAGEMENT/BOARD
The management board of the Krsko Nuclear Power Plant (NEK), listened to the administration's report on the plant's operations for 1999, at Friday's meeting. The president of the NEK management board, Ivo Banic explained that NEK finished last year with SIT 624 million (euro 3.13 million) in loses, which is an improvement on the year before when the loss amounted to SIT 5.7 billion (euro 28.7 million). The Croatian part of the board did not take part in the meeting once again. However, the participants announced that NEK prepared an offer, at the suggestion of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, for the supply of electrical energy to the Croatian electrical distribution company. There has been no answer from the Croatian side yet.
